Psychology Minor

Students completing a minor in psychology must earn (or be in the process of earning) a C (2.0) in a psychology course, generally PSY-100 Introduction to Psychology, before declaring. 

To graduate with a minor in Psychology, students must have taken at least six courses (18 credits) in psychology, including PSY-100 Introduction to Psychology, four of which must be taken at Salve Regina University. Students must achieve a cumulative GPA of 2.0 (C) in their psychology courses completed at Salve Regina University. 

For Social Work majors, Psychology will accept either SWK-215 Human Behavior and Diversity I or SWK-216 Human Behavior and Diversity II as substitutions for either PSY-220 Child Development (SWK-215) or PSY-238 Adult Development and Aging ( SWK-216).
