Economics (B.A.)
The Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Salve Regina University provides students with a strong foundation in economic theory and its real-world applications. Rooted in the university’s liberal arts tradition, the program fosters critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills essential for understanding and addressing economic issues at the individual, organizational, national, and global levels.
This degree offers the flexibility to pursue complementary fields of study, allowing students to easily double major in disciplines such as Political Science, History, or Psychology without the need for a dual degree. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in business, government, and public policy, as well as for advanced studies in economics, law, and related fields. More than just a career pathway, the program cultivates engaged and informed citizens capable of navigating and contributing to an increasingly complex economic landscape.
Students earning a B.A. in Economics are required to complete a minimum of 120 credits to earn a bachelor’s degree, including 41–44 credits of core courses and 33 credits of major courses as listed below.
