ADJ100: Introduction to the Justice Process

This course provides a survey of the justice process, including the nature of law, crime, and criminology, and the function of law in society; the role of the police, the courts, and the correctional agencies in the system. The coevolution of technology is introduced to provide students with an appreciation for the rapid development of crimes and crime fighting in today’s global environment. Evidence-based policing and crime prediction concepts are reviewed. (Students employed as law enforcement officers are not required to take this course.)
