The BSN-DNP program is a direct entry program to begin from the BSN to the DNP level. The student will be required to complete 78 credits to graduate and sit for the national board for the Family Nurse Practitioner. The student is required to complete all courses and 600 clinical hours. The majority of the classes are offered in the evenings at our Center for Adult Education in Warwick with blended-hybrid learning.

In the BSN-DNP pathway, students completing 78 credits (including 1,000 hours of clinical work) will be prepared to:

  1. Demonstrate organizational and system leadership to improve the quality of health care for persons.
  2. Design, implement, and evaluate strategies to address the environmental influences of culture, economics, ethics, law, policy, politics, society, and technology on health outcomes.
  3. Engage in the processes of critical thinking, communication, change, and lifelong learning as an advanced practice nurse.
